Unit 1-2

Week 1

Today I learned about different shot types and then I went out and recorded the shot types and created a short clip. This was recording was to help get us familiar with working wth cameras and knowing different shot types to make something.
Week 2

Today I recorded with a balloon in my hand, we were practicing recording with a prop that was edited using green screen. We got four long shots, four medium shots,2 extreme close-ups, a low angle shot and a high angle shot.

Week 3
Today I learned about Foley and I went out in a group of three to record some footage then use the foley technique to edit it.
Week 4
Today I learned about lighting and use a combination of lights and green screen to set the scene.
Week 5
Today I went out and made a video of me dropping my phone, I used the different shot types that we used in previous videos.

The use of narration with the use of POV's gives it a documentary kind of feeling. We can use this to recreate the same feeling whilst still mocking London.

Week 7
Today I finished the edit and shot list for our pre production project for unit 1 and 2. I learned how to add filters to my video's as well as add a warp stabilizer to footage that is shaky. Next time I should use a tripod to collect some footage so that it isn't shaking. The initial idea was to create a documentary mocking London but we end up changing it into a promotional video. This was meant to target tourist, it shows off some of London's locations that are popular to tourist. The music I used for this was a video game song called crossfade, I didn't use any sound effects because I didn't think any sound effects would have work well with the video. In the beginning I used the title London promo for an intro with a black background, the title was edited in After effects so that the text was transparent and revealed the London eye behind it.
