Animation ideas: I will draw a fight scene with two characters with the objective being; last man standing wins
Synopsis:
This is an animation about two figures in a combat position which includes running, standing still, fighting etc.
The scene is that of a forest because its is conventional; it is often found in most video games and movies, and that it is easily recognizable by the audience who I wish to direct this animation to.
The animation will focus on the two figures battling it out to see who is the strongest of the two.
At the end only the strongest will win but, the one that had lost has a teammate that comes and defeats the winner
Music and sound effects:
The sound effectsI'll need to use are: punching effects.
The music that I will played in the background is Centuries
Im using this song because the pace and the beat of the song will make the fight feel more enjoyable.
Sets:
I will use a forest background to set the scene, I chose this because I wanted to set the scene of the fight.
Target audience:
The audience I'm targeting are gamers as they would have either played or heard of the game the animation is based off of. Im trying to target ones that are aged 15-18 as they a lot of them tend to play games and may have heard or may currently playing this game. I am looking to target both male and females as a lot of females tend to play games as much as males do , I am looking to target ones that are particularly interested in MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games.
An example I want to make is, a stick figure animation from an animator on youtube. He creates stick figures of the characters and animates them fighting.
Primary research:
I asked my class what type of animation they would like to see out of; Two characters fighting, A character doing parkour and Lego people talking. Majority said they wanted to see a two characters fighting. My target audience are teenagers aged 15-17 who like to play video games and are familiar with games such as; League of legends, Overwatch and Dota 2.
I made a written questionnaire, I asked eight people what they'd like to see in my animation this was the result:
What game should my animation be based off of?
Dota 2: 0
League of legends: 4
Overwatch: 3
Paladins: 1
Should the animation be a fight scene or them doing a trial?
Fight scene: 5
trial: 3
Should it be a fight between two people or a team?
Two people: 7
Team fight: 1
Should there be Music or just sound effects:
Music: 8
Sound effects: 0
Finally, should One of them lose or have both lose and someone else take the win?
Have someone else win: 4
One of them win and the other lose: 4
Secondary:
My idea for the animation will come from a video game know as League of Legends.
I could use these videos to help me plan out the fight as well as help to create my characters.
The location it will be set in is going to be the in game map called summoners rift in the jungle looking area. I chose this location because it will fit with the animation as it's two characters from the same game fighting on one map. In each scene the two characters will be fighting, each on throwing punches at each other.
